Kidz Gym

Kidz Gym was born out of a simple idea: every child deserves a place to move, play, and thrive. Founded in July 2024 by Parker resident Jessica Lankes, the gym has quickly become a go-to destination for local families.

Jessica spent over 16 years in financial services before becoming a mother and finding a new calling. When the COVID-19 pandemic arrived, she watched children struggle with isolation and a lack of outlets for movement and play. She saw a gap and decided to fill it, launching Kidz Gym. “We started Kids Gym in July of 2024, really to meet a need that we saw for kids that needed a place to come and to get their crazies out, get their sillies out, to be able to exercise, and to be able to have fun.”

The result is a cheerfully kid-centered space at 18540 Apache Drive designed to feel welcoming from the moment a family walks in. Age-based classes introduce children from infancy through early elementary school balance, coordination, and strength while also building the social skills that last a lifetime. "Not only are we working on our physical development, but we're also working on our social development," Jessica said. "We're learning to take turns, to share, to be patient, and to support our peers." Open play sessions, birthday parties, Parents' Night Out events, and sensory-friendly hours round out the offerings.

A Parker resident herself, Jessica was determined to plant roots in her own community. Through the Town of Parker's FLIP grant program, Kidz Gym is funding accessibility and infrastructure improvements so every family can arrive safely. To her fellow entrepreneurs, Jessica has the following recommendation: "There are a lot of resources available to new business owners that will really help them not only get the business off the ground but grow it into the business they ultimately want."
