When Heather Crosby started Wigglebutts Waggin LLC, her motivation was simple, "I love pets. I love animals." That love has grown into a pet transportation and care business serving Parker, Colorado, offering door-to-door shuttle rides, in-home pet sitting, and dog walking for the community's four-legged residents.

Crosby, who serves as the sole proprietor and owner of the business, built the company around a service she personally enjoys providing. "I love the doggy shuttle. I love putting dogs and cats into the shuttle and getting them where they need to go," she said. But the business has grown beyond transportation alone, "A lot of it has been really driven by other services that I saw were needed, so it's evolved a little bit, but it's been a great and seamless evolution."

That evolution now includes clients across a wide range of needs. "It's anyone from your busy professionals to families that want in-home care versus bringing them to a doggy daycare, to dog or cat sitting," Crosby explained. According to the company's website, every shuttle ride comes equipped with fresh water, treats, and soft blankets, and the business also offers dog walks, custom car rides, emergency transport to animal hospitals, and prescription pickups.

Crosby credits much of her success to Parker itself. "I find Parker to be very community-driven. It's very active. There are 41 miles of trails. You have all the open space that you can want." She also pointed to the town's resources as a key part of getting started: "The Town of Parker had a lot of information on their website, and if I had a question, I literally would just pick up the phone, and I would call a town employee."

Her advice for other aspiring small business owners in Parker is straightforward, "If you're a small business and you're trying to start a small business in Parker, engage the town, ask questions."
